Stephen Webster - The Seven Deadly Sins!

I've admired Stephen Webster's blingtastic jewellery for some time now, but nothing prepared me for the new "Seven Deadly Sins" range. Is it sinful? Yep. Is it Deadly? Well yes on the wallet it is. But hell what do you expect from such a deliberately ostentatious brand!  I especially like Pride, not my favourite sin admittedly, but definitely the best ring out of the bunch as far as I'm concerned!

Beautiful Mini Lockets

These tiny little lockets from Verabel would make incredible presents for birthdays, Xmas etc. If you want to get them for Chrimbo, I'd get in there quickly as it’s an Etsy job and they are being delivered from Portland in the States. This interview in the Etsy blog is very inspiring for anyone wanting to make a living out of something they love!

Birthday Buttons!

My lovely friend Cata (aka The Smudge), recently bought me a great retro button brooch from Marie Finlay for my birthday. I've been checking out her website this evening and I have to say there is some really cute stuff on there which would make ideal Christmas pressies! My birthday is on remembrance day and I always buy a poppy, but as I'm a bit scatty, I've usually lost it by the end of the day. Now I have found a solution - buy a Marie Finlay Poppy brooch, and £1.00 of proceeds go towards the Poppy appeal fund, and I can put some money in the tin each year too!

Marimekko Jewellery

I've always been a big fan of Finnish textile giants Marimekko, and was very happy to discover that they also have a jewellery range which is true to the spirit of their bold aesthetics. Check out the below picture of various items in the Peukku, Salkopapu and Auer ranges. I believe that Heals online stock the Peukku range in this country!

Lalique Cabachon Rings!!!

Beautiful candy coloured Cabachon rings! Available from Harrods in the UK. I've wanted one of these for a very long time. I think they are the ultimate cocktail ring. If you check out the Lalique website you can see just how many different coloured ones that they sell.

Holly Fulton @ Browns

How utterly Metropolis-ArtDeco-Tastic are these incredible items by Holly Fulton at Browns. I've been an Art Deco obsessive since my early teens and anything like this makes me want to get the smelling salts out. Prices range from a very reasonable £120 for the Perspex earrings, to a somewhat scorchio £3,105.00 for the light-coloured dress (but the craftsmanship on these garments is absolutely incredible). Rabbit Skeleton Necklace

It's not far to go until Halloween now, and this is the perfect necklace to go trick or treating in! It's creepy and cute at the same time, and it's made by the amazingly affordable Galibardy. Galibardy does slouchy/ grungy jewellery very well and this necklace is my favourite as I haven't seen anything remotely like it anywhere else!

Swing Girl Necklace!

I've seen quite a few blog posts recently on the fabulous Tatty Devine trapeze necklace, but only came across this beautiful "Swing Girl" necklace today. Reminds me of the classic Rococo painting "The Swing" by Fragonard (below picture - The Wallace Collection). For racy girls with real class!

Adorn London is one!

Adorn London is a jewellery treasure trove. It is essentially a showcase of new jewellery trends. Regular features include; glimpses at jewellery history "moments", interviews with up-and-coming and established jewellery makers and regular competitions and Q & A sessions. Started a year ago by industry insider Juliet Hutton-Squire, you will always be updated on when it's London jewellery week or if there are any new stores that are ones to watch out for. There is also a "shop" which is basically a links shopfront for stand out current pieces. Below are three of my favourites from Marni, Miss Selfridges and Biba - so all price bases covered. Go hunt them out!

Annoushka Jewellery

As much as I love Links of London jewellery, I don't love it half as much as I do Annoushka Jewellery, designed and created by Links founder Annoushka Ducas. Annoushka was launched in July last year, and is one of my favourite places to ogle at jewellery online. I'm particularly smittten with items in the "Gobstopper" range, which quite frankly, no self-respecting 60's cocktail-lounge princess should be without! Made from big shiny Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Aquamarine stones. Almost good enough to eat!

Crea-tiff Bijoux

Saw these fantastic art rings today at Crea-tiff Bijoux. The below pictured are from the Touché range of rings. These fantastic creations are by British-Swiss designer Tiffany Rowe. No surprise that she is both interested in Art and Science. I love the way these rings look like atoms or DNA make up! Other jewellery ranges are entitled "Electrons", "Capsule" and "Cluster". Reminds me also a bit of the Eames "Sputnik" lamps from the fifities - beautiful!

MODCLOTH ACCESSORIES

Modcloth always do really great accessories. Yep you may have to get your stuff shipped from across the pond, but you can always order a few things at the same time to get your postage money's worth! I love the jewellery that they have in at the moment, especially the below fantastic "Meteorologist Necklace". Or how about the gorgeous "Always by Your Side Necklace" for doglovers - I think these would make great presents! I'm also really into bird jewellery at the moment, and the below little cameo is something a  bit different (if you get chance, also check out Alex Monroe's new Goldcrest necklace on his blog - amazing!) Last up, super cute French kitsch glasses case, an office must!

Water Sylph

As much as I adore all the colourful trends that have been happening recently in the world of jewellery, the clear simplicity of these items from Saks Fifth Avenue, really stands out. This is pure jewellery detox! First piece from Stephen Dweck, second and third, Kenneth Jay Lane.

Brokenfab Jewellery

Are you a jewellery person, or a textiles person? Perhaps you are both? Then I have a solution for you - Brokenfab's utterly gorgeous beaded fabric jewellery in the most wonderful eye-popping colours. This particular collection is entitled "Disco Beading Vol 1." As a source of inspiration, Brokenfab's fabby website cites: "...spending long evenings at London's Plastic People or Deviation's club night soaking up the sounds of Disco, Boogie, Synth, Funk, Electro, Detroit Techno, Dub steps, Broken Beats...". I also see a bit of native American bead work going on too! what do you think? Check out the stunning website for this unique jewellery.
