Who would have thought that the Moomins have been around now for 65 years?! They are, after all this time still much loved by children and adults alike! "The Moomins and the Great Flood" was the first Moomin book that Tove Jansson ever created. More recently, this fabby new hardback version of Janson's cookbook has been re-issued to celebrate the Moomins 65th birthday. It's an introduction to Finnish cooking (and compiled lovingly by Moominmama!) To win, simply leave a comment about why you love the Moomins! You could even tell me who your favourite Moomin character is if you wish (mine is Little My!) One lucky commenter gets the book!
How to cook a Moomin!
I love the Moomins because they were from Finland, and therefore their toilet would have been in the same place in every house, meaning visitors didn't have to ask for directions.
ReplyDelete(Finish fact, told to me by a uni lecturer with a Finish wife. Might actually be rubbish).
My favourite was Moomintroll, for obvious reasons.
I first saw the Moomins in Japan. My sisters and I couldn't understand a word that was said, but we still fell in love with the show regardless.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Moomins!
